DPP ESPR Circular Economy EU Policy

The European Commission introduced DPPs under the ESPR to close the information gaps that hinder circularity and sustainable decision-making. Manufacturers, regulators, and recyclers often lack verified, comparable data to make responsible and compliant choices.

By requiring a standardised format for product information, the DPP ensures that everyone across the value chain can access the same verified facts.

DPPs will enable:

  • End-to-end traceability of materials and production
  • Verified digital twins with linked documentation
  • Lifecycle data for repair, reuse, and recycling
  • Reliable access for regulators and customs authorities
  • Consumer transparency through scannable product data

The TraceID advantage

TraceID helps companies automate the data capture and validation process. It integrates directly with ERP, PLM, and quality systems to create DPP-ready records that meet EU standards. This turns what might otherwise be a heavy compliance task into a manageable, scalable process.
