Designing Stakeholder-Specific Passport Experiences

Deliver tailored views for consumers, authorities, and service partners without duplicating data.

Experience Digital Product Passport

The ESPR recognises that not every stakeholder needs the same level of detail from a digital product passport. Some data must be public for consumers, while other elements are restricted to market surveillance authorities or specialist partners. TraceID’s access framework delivers tailored experiences while maintaining a single source of truth.

Define stakeholder personas early

We map each data element to the stakeholder personas defined in the delegated acts. Consumers receive ESG highlights, authenticity cues, and maintenance tips. Authorities receive declarations of conformity, notified-body references, and audit trails. Partners gain access to component-level service data.

Control access at the schema level

Instead of building separate microsites, TraceID enforces role-based access at the schema layer. When a scan occurs, we resolve the stakeholder class automatically—via token, login, or geo/IP context—and supply the relevant dataset without duplicating records.

Keep the passport updated across channels

Lifecycle updates, such as component swaps or sustainability claims, propagate instantly to every view. Stakeholders always see the latest, approved data, while updates remain traceable for compliance review.

A single scan becomes the gateway to compliant, personalised information for everyone in your value chain. Talk with the TraceID team to explore how stakeholder-specific journeys can reinforce trust and speed up service outcomes.
